Riyadh: A huge investment deal worth $600 billion has been announced by Saudi Arabia during the U.S. President’s visit to the Middle East. This deal was officially signed on Tuesday in Riyadh and shows a strong partnership between the two countries. The agreement includes several projects and plans to work together in areas like defense, technology, and infrastructure. This major deal comes while the U.S. President is on a four-day tour of the Middle East, focused on building stronger ties with important countries in the region.
One of the biggest parts of the deal is a weapons purchase worth $142 billion. This will help strengthen Saudi Arabia’s military and also support American defense companies. Besides weapons, the deal also includes big investments in other areas. One of the major ones is a $20 billion plan to build artificial intelligence data centers and improve energy infrastructure in the United States.
The two countries have also signed many other agreements to work together on economic development. These include deals related to trade, education, infrastructure, and new technologies. These agreements show that the U.S. and Saudi Arabia want to build a long-lasting and strong partnership that benefits both sides.
The U.S. President was welcomed at King Khalid International Airport by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. From there, they went to a ceremonial hall where they were greeted with traditional Arabic coffee, which is a sign of respect and hospitality in Saudi culture. This warm welcome highlighted the importance of the visit.
As part of his Middle East trip, the U.S. President also plans to visit Qatar and the United Arab Emirates next. These two countries are strong allies of the United States, and the President is expected to hold more talks there about regional peace, security, and working together economically. This tour is part of a larger plan to strengthen U.S. friendships and influence in the Gulf region.
